Since the first moment of assuming their mission of defending justice, no one member of the Defense Committee has ever met unilaterally, neither in secrecy nor in public, with President Saddam Hussein except the President of the Defense Committee.

All the news and media reports about unilateral meetings with the lawyers are unfounded. We confirm that there were no meetings whatsoever between President Saddam and any American official except one meeting with an American military general who advised the President to chose between either being a new Mussolini and Napoleon. President Saddam refused to reveal any other detail of that meeting.

We hope that the media covers such sensitive matters with more objectivity.
